So now I'm at the point where I have to make these changes but also the way the structure is modeled, it would require rebuilding the entire stairway because of how I initially constructed it. this is now frustrating because of course after the whole thing was modeled, they wanted to make changes. the reasoning behind that afterthought is because if a landing needed to change, then I have to go back and edit the overall structural skeleton in order to make a single change. In hindsight, I should have modeled each section separately as its own assembly and then created sub-assemblies of stair/landing, and then one final assembly of all elements of this stairway. In addition to this, the ACAD Architecture doesn't incorporate structural members into the stair frame so you apparently have to play with that to get it to work. previously, I didn't have this option when building the stairs. We updated our versions to 2022 from 2016 so things were already a mess and now, ACAD comes with architecture, which includes the stair generator that is a huge time saver. I divided the stairway up into 5 parts for installation and created a sketch for each section to construct with frame generator. We are apparently making them out of stainless channel, pipe handrails, and stainless grip strut for the treads and landings. A little bit of background on this one particular case, we were tasked with re-creating a flight of stairs because the old one is rusting out and is a safety concern. I don't necessarily need immediate assistance with this project, more like experienced guidance I guess.
